I had always thought...

Part 1: How did I end up there.

I had always thought that my 2019 journey to Europe was the reason I fell in love with traveling, and in some ways it was. However, it was more of an eye opener that I was not living my life the way I wanted to. It was actually the beautiful mountains and gorgeous ocean views of South Africa that ignited my passion for travel!

I was sitting at my desk planning for my trip to Seattle when I remembered someone my old classmate talked about, some guy named Casey Neistat. I don't know why this memory had popped into my head, but it was crystal clear. So I decided to google Casey Neistat and what I found would change my life forever. He was a travel and tech guy from what I could gather. He would spend his days playing around in his office or flying across the world for some major event! However, there was one thing for certain, he loved South Africa more than any place he had ever been, but why? That question made something inside of me break and I was not sure at the time, but my trip to Seattle would serve as a catalyst for all my future trips!

I was awoken abruptly by an overhead speaker, "Final call for Andrew Chaffin". I was up so late the night before that I fell asleep in my chair during the boarding process and almost missed my flight. When I had arrived in Seattle, I was met by an overwhelming since of excitement from the stunning trees to blue bay! However, that excitement did not last long... I had fallen into a serious state of depression by sunset.
