Polar Plunge,
Marseille France

10/10

"Not for the Faint of Heart, but free!"

If you’re daring and happen to be in the South of France, jumping into the Mediterranean in winter is an experience like no other. The freezing, salty waves hit you instantly—a wake-up call that makes you feel completely alive. Staring out at the endless, sparkling waters while fighting to stay afloat is unforgettable.

The locals take it a step further, skinny-dipping without a second thought—but I played it slightly safer. That said, this is not for the faint of heart: the cold and rough waters make it extremely dangerous, so caution is a must.

The Star Market in Bern, Switzerland

9/10

"Cold, Beautiful and Festive"

The Star Market is easily one of my favorites—and the best part? It’s completely free to attend. The food and drinks are reasonably priced, but it’s the atmosphere that truly sets it apart.

Twinkling star lights hang from every tree, bathing the market in a warm, magical glow. My favorite moment was gathering around the fire pits with locals, sipping drinks, and soaking in the peaceful, festive energy.

If you’re in Switzerland during Christmas, this market is an absolute must-see.
