ATV ride in Cusco, Peru.JPG

ATV Tour,
Sacred Valley, Peru

8.5/10

"Slow, but beautiful"

Machu Picchu was the mission. I landed in Cusco with tunnel vision.

That focus broke when I was handed a flyer for an ATV tour through Peru’s Sacred Valley. With only half a day before my train departure, I took the risk and grabbed the last spot.

Before sunrise, we were already on the move. The Maras Salt Mines came first—thousands of salt pools cascading down the mountainside, carved with precision and history. From there, we geared up at a remote compound and set off on the ATV ride. The pace was relaxed, but the reward was constant: sweeping Andean mountains stretching endlessly across the horizon.

The final stop was Moray. Its massive circular terraces spiral deep into the earth, equal parts engineering and mystery. Standing at the edge, it’s impossible not to feel small.

This tour isn’t about speed—it’s about perspective. What started as a spontaneous detour became one of the highlights of my time in Peru, and one I’d easily recommend.

Dune Buggy and Sandboarding,
Paracas, Peru

9.9/10

"Beautiful, and Thrilling!"

I arrived expecting nothing more than sandboarding down massive dunes. What I got was so much more.

Lined up in the sand were rows of dune buggies, and the ride between dunes turned out to be just as thrilling as the sandboarding itself—fast, wild, and nonstop adrenaline. Each stop brought a new sandboarding location, where we were handed boards, laid flat on our stomachs, and launched down towering dunes. There were three different runs, each bigger than the last.

The real finale came at sunset. The guides parked us atop a massive dune and let the desert go quiet as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was the perfect ending to an already unforgettable experience.

This tour is pure adventure—and an explorer’s dream.

Iguazu Falls, Argentina and Brazil

10/10

"Pure perfection, Just don't drink the water"

Get there early! Arriving at the far end of the Argentina side before the crowds allows you to see the full power of the waterfalls in all their glory. Dozens of cascades thunder down around you—it’s absolutely breathtaking.

The trails stretch for miles, taking you past wildlife, bridges over rushing water, and even cheeky monkeys that might try to steal your snacks. For the ultimate thrill, the Argentina boat tour takes you right into the falls—prepare to get completely soaked!

On the Brazil side, the perspective changes entirely. Sweeping cliffside views show the waterfalls’ full scale, and a stunning bridge leads you straight into the heart of the cascading water.

The town of Iguazú, at the meeting point of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay, is full of great restaurants, animal exhibits, and adventure parks. This is one of the most incredible travel experiences you can have—truly unforgettable.
